We are a small family business passionate about all things Pickled and Preserved, all our products are set traditionally the natural way, simply using sugar & vinegars, so no artificial ingredients, just top quality produce, sourced locally whenever possible.
Mikes Homemade is no gimmick, the whole range is created and made by Mike Dentith, from our home kitchen in Woodseaves, which sits on the Shropshire/Staffordshire Border.
In 2008 Mike decided to hang up his hat as Executive Head Chef, and began creating recipes, initially the intention was to produce his signature Chutneys & Pickles, that always went down a treat on his restaurant menus, but demand grew and soon Mike turned his chef skills to start producing Marmalades, Preserves, Curds & Mustards.
The funny thing was after a childhood experience, Mike was not to keen on Preserves, good job for him he has me, his wife Claire to use as a tester! We set the business up with the intention to wholesale to independent retailers, after all, I can only describe Mike as the original grumpy chef (he won't mind me sharing that!), he's no sales person, his passion is his food and the recipes he creates.
All products have been developed to taste completely different, with carefully selected produce & infused with spices where appropriate, to create the perfect blend of flavours, so there should be a product for every palate, your not going to like all we do, but your bound to find a favourite, so why not try exploring, and maybe try some of our meal ideas?
